As Angry Birds approaches it’s 10th anniversary – lets reflect a bit. Publisher, Rovio, has turned this game into a franchise, with a bunch of different titles, a cartoon series, two movies, and a theme park. But now…. sneakers. You have to be shitting me.
This holiday season Angry Birds will be releasing two designs in collaboration with K-Swiss. The two different options are a red pair that is painted with the red bird all over it, and the other variation is a mix of green, red, and yellow characters – Red, Chuck and Bomb.
For anyone that has followed us for some time, you’ll know that I hate Angry Birds with a burning passion. It’s just because it’s they do too much. But this is just the icing on the cake. A pair of shoes? A crispy Angry Birds and K-Swiss collaboration? Go to bed. Thank the stars above that these shoes are only available in child and youth sizes. I swear if I saw a grown ass man walking around a mall with a pair of Angry Bird shoes on I would be absolutely petrified.
On the other side of the coin. I don’t think I would ever buy my children these shoes. Granted, I wore some awful kicks as a child. A pair of Shaq’s from Payless, Phat Farms, and the list goes on. But I would have never in a million years had the balls to ask my parents for a pair of Angry Bird shoes.
Cant wait to hear how much money they make from these. I’m already sick to my stomach thinking about it.
