Applebee’s Is Offering $1 Margaritas For The Entire Month Of October

As god as my witness, my liver has been broken in half. The absolute maniacs at Applebee’s Corporate HQ have decided that they’ll be pushing $1 margaritas — “dollaritas” for short — for the entire month of October. Apparently this is a part of the chain’s “Neighborhood Appreciation Month”, and the deal lasts from open to close every damn day in October.

Patrick Kirk, VP of beverage innovation at Applebee’s (talk about a job title) says that “Our $1 margaritas in October give us a chance to show our guests a little love, giving them a totally unbeatable offer as a gesture of our sincere appreciation for their patronage.”

You can say that again, Pat, you can certainly say that again.

I hate to be the skeptic here, but I have to ask – how good could these margs actually be? If you listen to our podcast (and you should), you know we’re BIG marg guys. Couple house margs on the rocks (no salt, gives me cankers) is a real game changer regardless of if you’re looking to start your night out or cap it off. I don’t wanna call it too soon – but Applebee’s might be priming itself to become the #1 pregame spot in the free world with this deal if they’re margaritas hold up.

I’m not gonna lie here – I’m pushing hard for Applebee’s to RAKE with this promotion. I’m a big Chili’s guy personally, but I’m sick of seeing all these “millennials are killing fast casual spots” blogs so I’m hoping Applebee’s uses this as a jumping off point to make an absolute mint. I’ve already made the necessary arrangements for myself and the rest of the WGG boys to hit our local Applebee’s up and put this deal to the test, so we’ll report back soon with some hard hitting (journalism and liver-wise) field analysis.
