Bethesda Softworks to Donate $1,000,000 to COVID-19 Relief

Per a new blog this morning, Bethesda is donating $1,000,000 to charities around the globe to help with COVID-19 relief efforts as a part of their #BethesdaAtHome initiative.

The Maryland-based publisher responsible for franchises like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls has already been pushing their “At Home” campaign by streaming from their home offices to stay connected with fans and encourage people to stay home, and is planning on offering opportunities for viewers to donate money as well. The breakdown of their donations is as follows:

$500,000 will be given to Direct Relief, a charity which is directly involved in COVID-19 relief efforts, including the critically important work of providing personal protective equipment to health care workers.

$250,000 will go to UNICEF, which partners with front-line responders around the world to keep children and their families safe and protected.

$250,000 will be donated to local COVID-19 relief efforts within the communities where we work and live. These recipients will be chosen by our individual studios and international offices. This way we can support worthy charities fighting COVID-19 in our local communities across the world.

Not a bad headline for a Monday morning, huh? Bethesda knows the importance of staying home during these times, and is willing to put their money where their mouths are to continue to encourage it.

I absolutely love this move, and it just goes to show the level of class and care Bethesda has not only for their community, but for the global community as a whole.
