Handsome Hector Rodriguez aka Hecz Reacquires OpTic Gaming

Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez, current co-owner and CEO of NRG Esports, has reacquired OpTic Gaming in a deal separate from any ties associated with NRG. Sources close to the deal have come forward stating that after negotiations spanning a little over a month, Rodriguez purchased the OpTic Gaming IP in its entirety and in practice the Call of Duty League slot associated with the Los Angeles franchise.

The acquisition of the Los Angeles CDL slot by Rodriguez, who according to sources intends to divest to interested esports organizations, still needs league approval. So while it appears that Rodriguez now owns the OpTic Gaming property, the CDL must approve the change under the assumption that Rodriguez would divest the slot through a sale as he has an ownership stake in the Chicago Huntsmen through NRG.

There’s been a few times doing this whole website and podcast thing where I’ve been like HOLY FUCK at some news. And this is one of them. This has been a super slow news week until today, and I am buzzing. Hector said GIMME MY SON BACK.

You know what’s going to be sick? When Hecz sells his CDL spot to Nadeshot and we get the LA Thieves. What a fucking story. “The acquisition of the Los Angeles CDL slot by Rodriguez, who according to sources intends to divest to interested esports organizations” – waddup 100T???

Also, on Keemstar and Banks’ podcast Mom’s Basement on 8/19 with Hecz and Nadeshot, we heard what Nadeshot would do if he had players on LA Thieves
