I Can’t Wait To Be Complete Ass At Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 has officially been announced, and I’m gonna be absolutely terrible at it. I can already tell.

Here’s the trailer:

I love Battlefield’s cinematic trailers so much. They’re always so well done, so exciting, and absolutely nothing like playing the actual game. Unless you’re me, then you are well represented in this trailer by literally everyone who dies.

Battlefield 2042 reportedly will not have a campaign at all, and will not include a battle royale mode (at least at launch). The game will also feature an unannounced “love letter to the fans” mode, which will be revealed at EA Play later this summer.

I’ve read from a few different reports that the game’s “story” will be told based on interactions between characters while in multiplayer. I’m not sure how that’s gonna work out, or if there’s going to be that involved of an in-game story at all, but at least it’s something.

One day or the other, this game looks gorgeous, and I can’t wait to be absolutely garbo at it.

Battlefield 2042 releases on October 22nd.
