Arguably one of the best baseball franchises of all time and one of my personal favorites for crushing bombs over center field, MLB The Show recently announced that it will end it’s tenure of being a PlayStation exclusive and will start to distribute to other platforms as early as 2021. San Diego Studio’s upcoming 15th anniversary will also be a key feature of the game.
Personally, I’m 100% in favor of moving MLB The Show to multiple platforms and I hope cross-play is a key feature in the future. While it may be true that exclusives often sell consoles, I don’t think serial sports franchises necessarily make me want to shell out the extra cash for a different console. This is a smart move for San Diego Studio and I can’t wait to relive the magic of my tee ball glory days on the platform of my choosing.
