Twitch Streamer Viperous Banned For Saying Nerd

Viperous, a popular Twitch streamer with over 1500 subscribers and 10,000 followers as of right now, has been banned from Twitch. This comes after calling another player a nerd, and having it get mistaken for a racial slur while in a Krunker game.

Twitch has been under some serious heat for their hypocrisy when it comes to bans and this is going to be yet another example. It’s like they don’t even look into these accusations, or look at the proof and just automatically smash the ban hammer. When things like this happen on Twitch, I always hope these people actually did something wrong, just so I rip them apart.. But in this case, Viperous did nothing wrong and it doesn’t take a detective to figure that out.

You have to know your facts before calling someone out on something. You can fuck someones career and life up if you don’t do your due diligence or in this case, even look at the reported clip. We live in a time where everyone is offended over everything, and everyone is a keyboard warrior. Last thing we need is to see someone who is just doing their job, get cancelled because of pure laziness and a lack of guidelines.

Regardless of how you cut it, there are favorites on Twitch who can get away with murder, and if you don’t think that’s the case, you’re an airhead. These big time streamers bring eyes, and revenue to the platform and why would the Twitch risk losing these viewers and money? If you’re gonna use someone to make an example, you might as well go after a smaller streamer to act like you genuinely give a shit. Lose a couple hundred users, to keep a few thousand. It’s a no brainer.

With streaming musical chairs happening lately, i’m excited to see how these Twitch fuck ups are going to expedite the process of everyone exploring different platforms.
