Why Cyberpunk 2077 Getting Delayed Until September is a Good Thing

CD Project Red’s most anticipated game since the OG Witcher has been delayed from April 16th, 2020 to September 17th, 2020. I mean, do you expect THE Keanu Reeves to announce your game and not have people chomping at the bit waiting for it? The delay isn’t a surprise considering Witcher 3 was also delayed twice. But look what happened with that delay.. they released a banger of a game.

Listen, this isn’t a bad thing. Yes everyone in their mother has been waiting years for this game to come out but do you really want to release a game in such a short time before Animal Crossing: New Horizons? The game would crumble to the ground. Cyberpunk couldn’t wash Animal Crossing’s jock strap. Tom Nook would not that that happen. He would have to rehire Resetti (free the real) and his goons to handle it.

CD Projekt Red has a track record of lengthy games that are jam packed with content and I think I can speak on behalf of everyone and say I’d rather them take a little longer to polish shit, than released an unfinished product. Hopefully these few extra months with get all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed, and make this game the gem that we all know it has the potential to be.
