World Health Organization Says Video Games Are Healthy During COVID-19 Pandemic. How The Tables Have Turned
The World Health Organization (WHO) is now prescribing video games as a recommended, healthy, treatment to stay in touch with others while we are all practicing social distancing.
Yes that’s right. The World Heath Organization. The one’s that made “video game addiction” an official mental health disorder.. Yea, them.
No shit they’re healthy. We aren’t doing anything besides sitting in a chair minding our business, LAUGHING with our friends. What’s unhealthy? That we don’t go outside? They sell Vitamin D lamps and we’re drinking water. We don’t socialize by going to the bar on Saturdays? We’re saving money and there’s beer in the fridge. I’m just waiting for the bad. Maybe we don’t shower for the day because we forget, but I really can’t think of anything else.
If there’s something that this whole quarantine has reassured for me, it’s that EVERYONE plays video games. Athletes, musicians, actors, legit everyone. And many of them are even streaming on Twitch. Time for all traditional companies to start throwing their hats in the ring to get involved in the video games. It was only a matter of time. An industry that some of us have been covering for years, and have been screaming recognition from the rooftops.
Stay in your lane if you don’t know about video games though..
