Charlie Hunnam’s New Boxing Flick “Jungleland” Is Gonna Be One For The Ages
If you’ve been around WGG for a while, you know that – at our core – this is a Charlie Hunnam-focused website. While we may have strayed away from our core values of posting and talking as much about him as possible in recent years, I’m here to give the people what they want.
Here’s the first look at Charlie Hunnam’s new movie, Jungleland.
In the movie, Charlie Hunnam (renowned beefcake) and Jack O’Connell (journeyman British actor) are brothers involved in the seedy world of underground boxing.
Over the course of the film, the pair (trainer and fighter, respectively), are traveling cross-country to participate in and train for a major tournament, all with a crime boss (Jonathan Majors – Da 5 Bloods, Lovecraft Country) hot on their heels.
This is the kind of tense, brooding, stressful fight flick I need right now. I’m a huge fan of the movie Warrior (Joel Edgarton, Tom Hardy) and this looks like it’s 60% that formula, mixed with the gritty indie tension that Uncut Gems brought to mainstream audiences.
Plus, we get more Charlie Hunnam content, so you know I can’t wait.
Jungleland arrives on VOD, digital purchase, and in select theaters on November 11th.
