Head Into The Weekend With Top Gun Maverick’s Test Run Scene

Folks, it’s Friday. I had a few on the podcast last night. I’m running 3 miles this morning. I can’t be stopped, and you shouldn’t allow yourself to be stopped either.

This blog, of course, comes hot off the heels of Battlefield 6 announcing their Top Gun collab event. It’s probably the smartest licensed marketing campaign I’ve seen in gaming in God knows how long, and it only makes sense. Battlefield 6 went from nobody talking about it to EVERYBODY talking about it overnight.

Battlefield 6 will be playable for free, for everyone, from August 18 through August 25. You’ll be able to check out the new Top Gun “Carrier Strike” as well as everything else that arrives in Season 4. Interesting timing, considering that this will DIRECTLY compete with Modern Warfare 4’s beta. How can you not be romantic about gaming?
