25 Days of Wicked Good Christmas: Do You Want To Get Some Beers Kid?

Every so often, a song comes along that just gets to your very core.

Ladies and gentlemen, courtesy of the Breaking The Ice Podcast, I give to you: “Do You Want To Get Some Beers Kid?”

Now, this song isn’t necessarily an intentional holiday tune, but it is based off “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” from Frozen (which also isn’t a Christmas movie), BUT there is a Christmas ornament on the door in the thumbnail, and this is my blog, so I’m posting it.

Anyway, this song has taken off a whole different meaning these days. The fact that we can’t just go to our friends’ houses whenever we want and crush beers, or go meet a pal at the bar and crush dollar drafts until they arrive without having to order fucking mozzarella sticks, is incredibly sad.

To be honest, I didn’t appreciate this song when it first came out back in 2014. But these days, when I find myself longing to just cozy up to my favorite bar and meet up with the boys… It’s just hitting so different.

The folks who made this song at Breaking The Ice Podcast are also from Boston radio station WAAF. Their station is currently hosting a fundraiser via The Greg Hill Foundation and Sam Adams to support restaurant industry employees who have been impacted by the Covid-19 closures. Check out that link to support.
