Niantic Gives Exact Windows to Catch Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno in Pokémon Go
Niantic, fresh off the heels of absolutely botching the shit out of Pokemon Go Fest, dropped a nice flaming bag of shitty news on my doorstep this morning… I’ve got until next Monday to catch a fucking Articuno in Pokemon Go.
According to the jolly ol’ blokes over at Eurogamer, Niantic has settled on a concrete schedule for when we’ll be able to catch all three legendary birds. If you’re like me, and haven’t been able to catch an Articuno yet, you’re not gonna like this… Articuno will only be available until next Monday, July 31st.
Well, shit.
From there, Moltres will be available from 7/31 to 8/7, and Zapdos takes over from the 7th until the 14th. Brutal. There’s no definitive word on when Lugia might stop appearing, or when Ho-oh might drop, but it is important to note that you can still take advantage of the insane post-Fest bonuses Niantic has imposed until this coming Friday.
I’ve joined some exciting raid groups around my way, and it’s been fun hunting the birds, but I’ve had no luck so far. I’ve downed an Articuno and a Lugia, but failed to catch either of them. Lucky for me, I’m working the next six days straight, so my chances to actually get out there and catch an Articuno before its window is up are pretty slim. Best of luck out there, everyone else!
