Rhyme Pays: Ice-T Added To PAYDAY 3 To Narrate In-Game Heists
Original gangster, rapper, actor, and Twitter blocker extraordinaire Ice-T has unveiled his own role in PAYDAY 3, which drops in a few weeks.
I’m not super familiar with Ice-T’s “favorite game” as he dubbed it in his preview video at Gamescom, but it would appear that his character – Mac – serves as the narrator and guide for a specific in-game heist. I’m not entirely sure if we’ll end up with an Ice-T skin in the game, but given that his likeness is clearly already in PAYDAY, it’s not hard to imagine that being far behind.
Ice-T has previously appeared in Gears of War 3, Def Jam: Fight For NY (hardest boss fight ever), Borderlands 3, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and tons more. He’s one of the most outspoken celebrity gamers out there and has done pretty much everything in the gaming industry short of star in a title of his own. It’s cool to see him in yet another cameo role, but hear me out – bring back True Crime Streets of LA and make Ice-T the main character. I’ll take my check and my executive producer credits whenever the game is announced, thank you very much.
Payday 3 launches on September 21st on all current-gen platforms and PC, and Ice-T’s mission will be available on day one.
