Frogware’s The Sinking City: Rotten Reality

The folks over at Frogware are grabbing the back of our heads and throwing us nose first into the depths with their upcoming Lovecraftian title, The Sinking City.  The most recent gameplay trailer, Rotten Reality dropped today and they are showing off some impressive stuff.  You won’t just be doing your best Arkham Knight impression with the in depth detective work, you’ll also be gunning down grotesque beasts from the deep.  As seen in the trailer, you won’t just be exploring above sea level either, but donning a diver suit and getting on the sea floor, the resting place of big papa Cthulu.

The gunplay looks to be akin to the third person action of The Evil Within and in tandem with the Batman Arkham exploration and investigation, looks to round out to one of the more impressive takes on the Lovecraft mythos to date.  I’m a huge fan of the Lovecraftian body horror movie genre, with The Void being the most recent example, so I very much look forward to what Frogware has in store for us.  Enjoy the trailer and make sure to keep an eye out for Frogware at E3 this year and the release of The Sinking City this June 27th.
