Alright, The Power Rangers Movie Looks Cool As Hell
We’ve known about this new Power Rangers movie for a little while now, but new posters of each Ranger’s face and new stills courtesy of Entertainment Weekly have given me a serious pants tent over how awesome this movie might actually be.
The new portraits depict close-ups of actors Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger), Becky G (Yellow Ranger), RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger), and Ludi Lin (Black Ranger) tinted by their character’s signature color, and overlain with the franchise’s thunderbolt logo. -EW
Shut up and take my money! I’m loving the look of the new Rangers here. I’ve seen some people (read: morons) commenting about the “appearances” of the cast members, complaining that each ranger isn’t exactly identical to their 1993 counterparts. Fuck that shit. Zack, Billy, Kimberly, Trini, and Jason all look appropriately badass, and if this set photo is any indication, we’re gonna see them all kick some serious putty ass in this reboot.
Boom son! I’m also stoked to see that the Rangers’ suits aren’t 100% CGI. It’s cool to see them using physical costumes like the old show, with the lone exception for the chest plate which I assume will have some cool effects shooting out of it. In any case, this new Power Rangers movie is shaping up to be pretty awesome, and I for one can’t wait to see the first trailer.
