Blade Runner 2049 Has A Teaser, And Its…. Cryptic
Blade Runner is widely regarded as one of, if not the greatest science fiction movie of all time. Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic seems like it would be impossible to follow up on, but Denis Villeneuve seems to think he can do just that – because Blade Runner 2049 officially has an announcement teaser. Check it out:
Aside form the fact that Harrison Ford is coming back as Rick Deckard, I had no clue as to who else was gonna appear in this sequel. Apparently Ryan Gosling and his dope biker jacket are joining the cast. Deckard narrates over the trailer “replicants are like any other machine. They’re either a benefit or a hazard. If they’re a benefit, that’s not my problem,” which is appropriately gritty and badass, so maybe this is him imparting some knowledge onto Gosling’s character.
And then we’ve got a dude in a trench coat wandering around a dusty wasteland (apparently Ryan Gosling’s character – Officer K), who could’ve possibly been looking for Deckard. We’ll find out more when another trailer drops, or when Blade Runner 2049 drops on October 6th, 2017.
