Nintendo eShop Rundown 3/19: ANIMAL CROSSING (And, Y’know, Some Other Cool Stuff)
Good morning folks, and welcome back to the Nintendo eShop Rundown. As always, I’m here to deliver your weekly eShop rundown including all the latest releases, sales, deals, and updates across all Nintendo platforms, as well as highlighting some noteworthy titles as they are released. And BOI is this week a doozy.
Just like before – discounts comes first. Here’s a quick link to all the stuff that’s on sale this week via the eShop. Ubisoft and Square Enix are both having huge sales right now, with titles up to 75% off. This includes big names like the South Park series, Assassin’s Creed, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and a bunch more. So if you’re looking to take it easy on your wallet during this quarantine, check out those deals.
First – and absolutely foremost on the shop this week, is the LONG awaited Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Collecting cobwebs in your living room due to this quarantine? Need some outdoorsy-ness in your life? Already done re-organizing your real-life home and need another? Well boy does that old swindler Tom Nook have a deal for you.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, we’ll be making the great escape to a deserted island, and creating a whole new life free of social distancing, quarantining, and globe-spanning pandemics. I’m personally encouraging everybody that I know to get my Friend Code, add me immeidately, and get Animal Crossing so we can all take our mind off the bad news of the day and pick some peaches. If you don’t think me and Chris will be fishing the rest of the lockdown away, you’re out of your tree.
I can’t wait to create my own island paradise TOMORROW, March 20th, when Animal Crossing: New Horizons finally arrives. If you’re like me and prefer to get things digitally, you can pre-purchase and pre-load AC:NH right now via the eShop. There will be a day-one patch (1.1) which is a meager 253MB, and that’ll download on launch day tomorrow and contain support for New Horizons’ first in-game event.
