Resident Evil 3 Remake Cover Art Leaked
I will be the first to tell you that I am more than likely the only WGG Staff that enjoys the Resident Evil franchise seeing as though Chris and Dom are giant fucking babies when it comes to horror. That being said, there are a handful of games in the franchise I never had the opportunity to play through. I was too young at the time to go hands on with Resident Evil 1-3, and I stashed my PS1 after my oldest sister traded all of my games for loose cigs at summer camp. I did however 100% pretty much every main line game starting at 4 and excluding 6 because it was supposed to be garbage. Handheld games like Revelations and spin offs like Operation Raccoon City never interested me, but this year I was determined to go through the ones I’ve missed, starting with Resident Evil HD Remake on PC.
Resident Evil 2 Remake released in January of this year and was showered with incredible scores. It has been touted as being the new gold standard for what an HD Remake should be in an industry where new IPs are becoming increasingly more rare. Resident Evil 2 Remake is now up for Game of the Year on practically every major gaming list including the Game Awards and it seems as though Capcom is on a hot streak recently. Leaked cover art for the highly rumored Resident Evil 3 Nemesis Remake hit the internet today causing fans of the franchise to lose their minds. The leaked cover art showed off the newest RE Engine designs for Carlos Oliveira, Jill Valentine and the titular antagonist, Nemesis. Sources at EuroGamer have confirmed that the leaks are in fact real, so we should be keeping our eyes open at The Game Awards this December 13th for an official announcement.
