Sirfetch’d Has Finally Been Confirmed For Pokémon Sword and I’m Literally Shaking
At my ripe old age of 28, I’ve spent a long time waiting for things that seemingly will have never arrived. Rush Hour 4, hitting on a lottery ticket, hackers to wipe out all of my student loan debt, y’know – the important stuff.
But today, boys and girls, one of my life’s greatest voids has been filled. Farfetch’d, the Wild Duck Pokémon, finally has an evolution that will be exclusive to Pokémon Sword.
It’s… Glorious. Look at him. Giant green onion for a sword, a bunch of leaves and shit for a shield. Cocky as fuck expression on his face. Sirfetch’d is going to kick so much ass.
Sirfetch’d is Fighting type and also classified as a “Wild Duck” Pokémon. He’s been a long rumored evolution to the original R/B/Y generation’s most overlooked creature. Somehow, the leaks – or leeks (I’m so sorry) were right on the nose, down to the name and everything.
The official Pokémon Twitter account says that Farfetch’d will evolve into Sirfetch’d “after many battles”, so I can only assume that he’ll just evolve with regular leveling, and not with a special new stone or by trading.
