Super Mario RPG is Getting a Remake and I Am Crying Hysterically

I cannot believe I am about to write this sentence.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is being remade for Nintendo Switch.

Once again, I cannot believe that I just wrote that sentence.

If you’ve known me for any amount of time, you know that this is my favorite game of all time. It was the first game that I ever completed as a child, and it has held a special place in my heart for my entire life since. For the longest time (you can read all the other blogs on our website about it) I had been completely convinced that Nintendo forgot all about the SNES classic, and I am so pleased to see myself proven wrong this morning.

I don’t really have many more words than that. I am stunned beyond belief and literally wiping tears from my eyes as I write this blog. My son, just born two months ago, will now be able to experience a completely fresh and vibrant take on my favorite game of all time alongside me… There are just no words to capture the feelings that I’m feeling in this moment.

The visuals, the personality in the characters’ faces, soundtrack, the settings… It’s all there and it’s never looked better. All I can say, Nintendo, is thank you.
