T-Pain, Ludwig, Nick EH 30, and Others Compete for Charity in All Out Competition Every Friday in August

Top streamers gathered by State Farm are competing this Friday and every other Friday this month with charity money on the line. Big names like music legend and streamer T-Pain, content creators like xChocoBars, and competitive gamers like Nick Eh 30 battle it out in virtual and physical competitions on their teams to win $100,000 for their respective charities that they benefit. The event is called Gamerhood and is the third season of its series. This season has a unique name, Neo City, and has a cyberpunk theme.

The first episode aired on August 2 and featured games like Fortnite and a puck-shooting game called Battle Board. In the Fortnite gauntlet, contestants competed in the Melting Grounds game mode. Players had to navigate a map of falling platforms and avoid lava. They also had to avoid elimination from other players and the enclosing storm. Every game had teams enter a vault beforehand to acquire buffs and de-buffs for each team, called “hacks.” Some of these included a smaller screen for a team to play Fortnite on or a point multiplier for the Battle Board game.

During a round of Fortnite, T-Pain was unfortunately the first to fall into lava early in the first round. This accident ironically earned him a point for his team later on with an accolade award called “Swan Dive.” Another content creator, Clix, was able to narrowly avoid a fall into lava by vaulting onto another platform. Ragequit, the team Clix was participating in, was able to win the set with seven rounds won. Many matches came close, with one battle going down to the end of the storm circle between Clix and pro-Fortnite legend Nick Eh 30.

Teams for State Farm Gamerhood and Charities Benefited

The second game of the episode was a more physical challenge called Battle Board. Teams had to shoot pucks across a board in State Farm’s arena and land on spots to score points. The game was chaotic, with pucks flying all across the board. Ultimately, Team Rift won with 12 points on their final shots. The final tally for the day had Team Ragequit and Team Rift tying for first place with a total of 9 points each, and Team Respawn in a close second with 6 points.

The second episode airs tomorrow from 6–8 p.m. EST/3-5 p.m. PST. Viewers can watch the event on the State Farm Twitch or State Farm YouTube channel. Fans can expect their favorite content creators to play another virtual and physical game for the chance to earn $100,000 for their respective charities when their scores are tallied at the end of the month.
