Warcraft III: Reforged Has Been Officially Delayed To 2020
Warcraft 3: Reforged was announced at Blizzcon last year, and was initially expected to arrive by the end of 2019. Now, however, we know that isn’t the case.
Reforged, which includes completely remastered versions of WC3’s Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne campaigns, plans to revamp all in-game objects, sound effects, characters, and more. They are not, however, changing the voice cast, which should amount to a nice bit of nostalgia for fans of the original release.
This is obviously a massive undertaking, and this is all without mentioning the new World Editor which’ll allow all new fan level edits to the remastered versions of the game’s maps.
Usually I’m not bothered too too much by game delays these days, so long as the juice is worth the squeeze. I can’t remember the last time Blizzard half-assed a release, so I’m sure we’ll get everything we’ve been promised when Warcraft 3: Reforged hits the (digital) shelves in January.
Warcraft 3: Reforged arrives on January 28th, and will run you $30 for the standard edition, or $40 for the premium Spoils of War edition.
