Private Division’s “Disintegration” Is The Coolest Looking Game I’ve Never Heard Of

Today, friend of the program and friend in real life Brilund from the Down In Front Podcast jumped into our Discord and shared a story trailer for a game I’ve never heard of before… And folks, it fucking rules.

Disintegration is a sci-fi, first-person shooter that blends real-time tactical elements to create an entirely new experience. Set in a world ripped apart by famine, scarce resources, and the planet on the brink of destruction, humanity has developed a process to survive its harsh reality known as Integration, in which a human brain is transferred to a robotic armature. From the ensuing chaos, an aggressive, militaristic legion, known as the Rayonne, gain control and begins to impose the once optional process of Integration onto the rest of humanity to consolidate their power.

Private Division and V1 Interactive Announce Disintegration Launching on June 16, 2020, Business Wire

Good robots, evil robots, chonky robots, cool vehicles, and an old guy mentor who is probably blind? Sign me up. This has all the makings of a great story, and apparently the project is led by Marcus Lehto, the co-creator of Halo. He and his colleagues at Private Division and V1 Interactive must have been hard at work on the lowest of keys, since I’ve never even heard of Disintegration before – but I’m so glad I have now.

Disintegration features single player and multiplayer, and is coming (digital only) to PC, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X on June 16th for $49.99.

Robots, rebellion, cool space bikes? Yeah, you can go ahead and sign me the fuck up.
