The Day Before Has Finally Released and Whoops It’s Already Got 6,000 Negative Steam Reviews

FNTASTIC games’ The Day Before has been marketed as an open-world, survival horror MMO since it’s announcement, but it turns out the real game is surviving the horrors that actual shipped with what is shaping up to be the buggiest dumpster fire of a video game since… Well… Maybe forever.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, have a look at this trailer for The Day Before.

Now, that looks pretty solid – no? The Day Before has already attracted LOTS of controversy, since it was already pulled from Steam once before after accusations of FNTASTIC games stealing of assets from other popular titles surfaced. It’s back, however, and the little developer that could wants you to know FOR SURE that it’s not just a scam or a cash grab. It’s a real video game!

And now, without further ado, the reality of The Day Before’s launch day experience. Enjoy.

Holy Santa Claus shit.

At time of writing, The Day Before currently has 5,855 negative Steam reviews – 6,788 in total. Jeesh. I mean, if you’re gonna come right out and say “we’re not scamming you” and then proceed to ship a product that hardly works and THEN start scrubbing evidence of what you originally advertised off the internet… Well… That certainly takes a beefy set of balls to go through with. I truly hope this is just an extremely, severely rough and unfortunate launch for the FNTASTIC games team, and that they continue to work on the title and get things right… But things do not look good for them or the game right now.

I’ve always heard that there’s no such thing as bad press, and you certainly can’t say that nobody’s talking about The Day Before right now… So that’s one thing going for it. We’ll see how this plays out as The Day Before’s launch continues to unfold. I have no idea what to expect next, but it certainly is going to be interesting.
