Where The Fuck Is The Morph Ball In Metroid Dread

Ahhh the mighty Morph Ball, one of the most iconic abilities in gaming history, and one of the first abilities Samus receives in every Metroid title.

Sorry – did I say every title? I meant almost every title – as I’m about 5~ hours in and still have yet to encounter the goddamn thing. It seems like I’m not the only one, as many players are scratching their heads (or screaming from their rooftops) about the ball’s location.

I absolutely love Metroid Dread. It’s atmospheric as hell, easily the most stressful and nerve-wracking side-scrolling game I’ve ever played, and an incredible breath of fresh air as the first “2D” Metroid in almost two decades. And little pattern-interrupts like this – an iconic ability players have relied on for years suddenly not being immediately available – are what make the game so special.

If you haven’t played Metroid Dread already, you owe it to yourself to give it a try.

P.S. – I still do not have the Morph Ball, so I’m not gonna go looking for a guide on how to get it and paste it here. You’re gonna have to suffer just like me.
